Save Map Option

The Save map menu option allows you to save the map you’ve created once you are ready to save it. You may either select Save, if you have already saved the map, to automatically save it, or Save As if you would like to save the map as a new map; note that if you have not already saved the map, Save and Save As will do the same thing. It is recommended to save your map regularly and often, so you don’t lose and work, should something happen. When you save your map for the first time, or select Save As, you will be presented with the Save Map window which will require you to input a Title, Tags (keywords that make your map more easily searchable for the public), a Summary, and select the folder where the map will be saved in your My Content. You may then either select to Save Map or Cancel, if you would prefer not to save it at this time.
