Selecting a Template

Once you have clicked on Make a Web Application and the window with the various Web Applications or Story Maps has popped up, let’s explore some of them. Under the Basic Viewer, click on Publish to display the Publish, Download or Preview options and select Preview; a preview of what the application would look like will open in a new tab or window of your web browser (note: you may need to adjust your web browser’s settings to allow new tabs or windows to be opened). Take a moment to explore the various features of this application to see what it can do; once finished, close the tab or window that has the preview and go back to the tab or window with ArcGIS Online. Feel free to do this with a few of the other Web Applications to preview what they offer and think about these are different and how they may be better or less effective and sharing your information given the way they look and the functions they have; once you are done doing so, close the tabs or windows you have opened with the previews and go back to the tab or window with ArcGIS Online.
